Five people died Sunday after a plane crashed into a home in Yorba Linda, a city in southern California.
Two men and two women were killed inside the two-story house, as was the plane’s pilot, according to the Los Angeles Times. The pilot was the only person aboard the plane.
Fire Capt. Cameron Rossman, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority, told the Times that two other people were taken to the hospital for moderate burns and that a firefighter sustained a minor ankle injury.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash. The plane involved in the incident took off from the Fullerton Municipal Airport around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, NTSB spokesman Peter Knudson told the Times.
