The latest limited edition of Ferrari’s sunnies are selling like hot cakes. The sixty individually redesigned vintage glasses were especially created to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th birthday. Italian glasses company Marcolin are producing the exclusive edition for Ferrari and received a licency of two years to manufacture Ferrari glasses. Previously Marcolin made glasses for Tom Ford, Cavalli and Replay to name but a few. The production company also fabricated eyewear for luxurious writing instrument label Mont Blanc.

Especially in Holland they’re going crazy for the exclusive eyewear range, where so far 14 of the 60 globally available glasses have been sold for a value of £6786. Isabelle Moes, director of Marcolin Benelux, said Dutch consumers are very receptive to buy exclusive products and brands. “In Belgium not a single pair of glasses ware sold, and the rest of the stock is spread over Russia, Dubai Italy and US.”

Together with Marcolin, sixty glasses were designed to celebrate the 60th birthday of Ferrari. The two companies selected a pair of vintage Ferrari glasses and redesigned them. All pieces have their own number and are designed to memomrade a year of Ferrari history. The limited edition is wrapped up in red patent wooden box with on top a memeorium note. The 60th anniversary package also features a Ferrari red etui.

Car brand Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari.
