Launching on October 6, the 10-piece Jameela Jamil for Simply Be will
feature 70s-inspired dresses and party separates, designed to “suit women
of varying shapes and sizes” and will be available in sizes 10-32, which
the retailer says will be one of the “most size inclusive ranges available
on the UK high street”.

The collaboration between the two follows on from Jamil being one of the
Simply Be’s Catwalk Contender judges to find the next curvy supermodel,
where the TV personality was very outspoken about body image and
self-confidence, and it is hoped that this partnership will “empower and
inspire shoppers to love their bodies and feel good about themselves”.

Jameela Jamil launches debut fashion collection

Commenting on the collaboration, Jamil said: “My collection is all about
being unapologetically dressed up. I’ve drawn on my own experiences and
spoken to lots of girls about their bug bears and designed a collection to
make women feel great.

“I find it infuriating that in this industry, size 10 and above is a
defined as ‘plus size’ especially when the average dress size in the UK is
a 16. We really shouldn’t be putting a label on size, fashion is for
all.”

Jamil added: “I am so excited to be working with Simply Be on my debut
collection as they present an inclusive and representative image to their
customers.”

The Jameela Jamil for Simply Be will be available in-store and online
from October 6, with prices ranging from 25 pounds to 110 pounds for a red
faux fur coat.
