SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Actor Luke Perry has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks home, it was reported Wednesday.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” heartthrob remains hospitalized, but his condition is unknown, TMZ reported. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to Perry’s home at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, according to the report. He remained under observation on Thursday, according to Fox News.

“We know the call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke, and Luke was transported to a nearby hospital,” TMZ reported. “It’s unclear what his condition is right now.”

The 52-year-old actor currently plays Fred Andrews on the show “Riverdale,” but he is best known for playing Dylan McKay in the 90s hit “Beverly Hills, 90210”

Perry suffered the stroke on the same day Fox announced a reboot of 90210, starring most of the original cast. He had not signed on to reprise his role as McKay although co-stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling had.

Since the height of his fame as the teen the “90210” teen idol, Perry has starred in “The Fifth Element” and was set to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s Charles Manson movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
