Elimination Chamber Main Event Changed, Owens’ Wife Denies Rumor

In just a few more minutes, WWE will be presenting their Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The event is set to feature two matches inside of the titular structure. One match will be a Chamber match for the WWE Champion while the other will see teams from Raw and SmackDown’s women’s divisions compete to crown the first set of Women’s Tag Team Champions in over two decades. It will certainly be an interesting show to watch, especially given how brutal the Elimination Chamber matches themselves tend to be every year. However, only one match can headline the show, and it appears that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has just made his decision on which match will be closing out tonight’s PPV.
Earlier in the day, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported that the Elimination Chamber match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship was set to close out the show. However, Vince McMahon has become notorious for changing his mind at the last moment, and that seems to be exactly what he has done in this case. PWInsider would report later today that McMahon changed the main event to the Chamber match for the WWE Championship. Fightful later confirmed these reports and said that McMahon feared that the women’s match would not get the reaction that he feels it needs if it were placed in the main event spot. Daniel Bryan will defend his title in the Elimination Chamber against Samoa Joe, Andrade, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, and Jeff Hardy in the main event now.
Yesterday, Amy Polinsky, the wife of Raw and SmackDown commentator Corey Graves, posted a message on her Instagram accusing her husband of having an affair with SmackDown wrestler Carmella. When a fan on Instagram commented on the matter, they listed other wrestlers who have been accused of cheating on their spouses on the road which included Raw’s Kevin Owens. However, Owens’ wife, Karina Steen, ended up seeing this message and responding with a post of her own. Ringside News shared the message from Steen denying that her husband has been unfaithful to her at any point during his run as a WWE Superstar. Kevin Owens appeared via video on Raw this past week to announce that he will be returning to the ring from his injury in about a month.
