Braun Strowman recently conducted an hour-long interview with Pro Wrestling Illustrated and spoke about many topics, including the question of whether other wrestlers are hating on him behind the scenes because of the frequent main event matches and push he’s getting from WWE creative.
The Monster Among Men spoke candidly about feeling some resentment:

Yeah, there was a little bit of animosity, I could tell. But, you know, this is a great place. It’s a great company to work for. And I won everyone over because of how hard I worked, putting my body on the line and doing everything I can to get better — listening, watching other matches, watching the whole entire show.

At first, yes there were some of those guys who had been working years and years and years just to get here. But it’s not like I didn’t put in my time and pay my dues to get here.

He went on to explain how he had worked for years making his way up the strongman circuit. He travelled the world using his own money to follow his dream in that world and WWE happened to see him compete at The World’s Strongest Man competition and the rest, as they say, is history.
But by no means was it a sure thing or an easy ride for Strowman and WWE. He had to try out everyone else and make it on NXT. Although he wasn’t featured in NXT before moving right up to be a part of the Wyatt Family, he continued to learn from every ounce of information he could absorb which is a practice he continues to this day.
