This week’s SmackDown Live was hoping to surpass Monday Night Raw’s ratings for the second week in a row, and it seems that they have already ensured that their figures are on the up.
As well as the showdown between AJ Styles and John Cena, The Intercontinental Championship match between Dean Ambrose and The Miz and the heel turn of Dolph Ziggler, SmackDown Live also handed an NXT Superstar there first ever main roster match.
Aliyah has been down at NXT for quite a while now and is recognised as WWE’s youngest female superstar, but it seems the company thought she was ready to come up and face Carmella on last night’s broadcast.
Even though Aliyah lost the match, WWE allowed her to show off some of her skills and shockingly it wasn’t a squash match.
Add this to the rumours that La Luchadora is a female NXT star as well, and it seems that SmackDown Live’s women’s division could be getting very busy soon and it will only add more competition to an already competitive division on the blue brand.
