According to PWInsider.com, 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner Anthony Ogogo (11-1) has signed with All Elite Wrestling and will be pursuing a career in pro-wrestling after retiring from the professional boxing ring earlier this year.

The announcement was made on Saturday by Cody Rhodes at the Southside Wrestling event in England. As reported last month, AEW came to the rescue and announced several of their top stars for Southside’s final event ever, after WWE pulled their stars from the show.

Ogogo, 30, has been boxing since he was 12-years-old, and actually won a gold medal in the 2004 Junior Olympics. He was forced to retire after his first loss in October 2016, where he suffered a fractured eye socket and was later registered as technically blind, to the point where he even had his driver’s license rescinded.
