Kevin Owens has come home.

The Canadian Superstar returned to the black-and-yellow brand this Saturday night at NXT Takeover: WarGames as the surprise “fourth man” in Tommaso Ciampa’s battle against the Undisputed Era.

After Matt Riddle was removed from the match several weeks ago to instead face Finn Balor, the fourth spot on Ciampa’s team remained undecided up until the final moments of the main event. When Owens’ music hit, the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL lost their collective minds.

It’s unclear at this point what Owens’ future holds. The Raw Superstar is supposed to join the red brand in a battle AGAINST the NXT brand this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series. He was also attacked by the Undisputed Era earlier this week on Raw, so the return did make a good deal of sense even if he return wasn’t meant as a long-term move.

Team Ciampa ended up winning the WarGames match after Tommaso Ciampa delivered an Avalanche Air Raid Crash off the top of the double cage, crashing more than 15 feet to the ring, through two tables.
