A Class XII student allegedly hacked into the server of a Bengaluru-based company, which runs the mobile version of the computer game Counterstrike, and transferred virtual coins worth Rs 2 lakh into his gaming account. He used the coins to buy other cryptocurrencies.
The student, who cracked the security system of the game portal using a C++ and Java-based hacking technique, has claimed that he was tutored by a fellow gamer whom he had met in the chat room of the game itself.
Earlier, he had made 12 accounts and used four mobile phones to play the game as different players. He easily killed them and made points/coins.
