As noted, the NXT TakeOver: War Games event takes place on Saturday, November 18th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will air on the WWE Network.
Despite not being as thrilled about Starrcade being used again, former WWE Superstar and current ROH World Champion Cody Rhodes “wasn’t mad” about the use of War Games and expected that “care and effort will be placed into it.”
Also, WWE recently announced that the promotion will hold a special live Starrcade event will take place on November 25th in Greensboro, North Carolina. His initial comments on the announcement appeared to be somewhat critical of WWE’s decision to hold the event.
In an update, the ROH World Champ took to his Twitter again to clarify his comments about the sports entertainment company bringing back the match and Starrcade:
