— On tonight’s edition of TNA Impact, Mick Foley made his big announcement that would “change the face of wrestling.” Foley said he bought into TNA and became a “major stockholder,” so it appears that he’s “part owner” of the company in the storyline. The company website is saying he’s the new Executive Shareholder of TNA after striking a deal with TNA founder Jeff Jarrett. After Kurt Angle headbutted him, Foley made his announcement to Angle by saying, “You just headbutted your boss!” He cut a passionate promo saying he believed in his investment and believed in TNA. He then asked Angle if he wants to be with TNA – or not.
— On Impact, Booker T revealed the contents of the briefcase to unveil the newest TNA title in the TNA “Legends Championship.” Booker T said he is introducing the belt as his own personal title. After the unveiling of the belt, Christian Cage came out and challenged him for the title at next month’s Turning Point pay-per-view. Booker agreed, but added a stipulation – if he beats Cage, Cage must join the “The Main Event Mafia,” a new alliance introduced on tonight’s Impact featuring Sting, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and Booker T. Cage didn’t respond to the stipulation, but will do so on next week’s Impact according to the TNA site. You can see photos of the new belt at the following link.
— On tonight’s Impact, Awesome Kong reclaimed the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship by defeating Taylor Wilde with her Awesome Bomb finisher to become a two-time champion. Wilde’s title run would have reached exactly four months tomorrow.
