WWE attracted a ton of controversy recently by deciding to continue on with their Crown Jewel event and not move it away from Saudi Arabia. The show received even more attention when Hulk Hogan made his first in-ring appearance in over three years during the show. Hogan was released from WWE in 2015 after racist comments that he made were discovered on his leaked sex tape, and now Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim has called out the company for its history with racism. Kim released a series of tweets earlier in the week claiming that those who run WWE are racist themselves. The former Knockouts Champion alleges that the McMahon family has unfavorable opinions on minorities, and her statements can be seen in the tweets posted down below:
Plus they’re racist anyway. They don’t care if anyone is racist Bc they have the same thoughts

Earlier this week, Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles had their WWE Championship match on SmackDown, which saw Styles successfully retain his title. The match had been set to take place at Crown Jewel, but following reports stating that Bryan refused to compete on the Saudi Arabia show, the match was moved up and Styles instead faced Samoa Joe during the event. Although Bryan did not compete with the WWE roster in Saudi Arabia this week, it appears that he is now going back on the road as usual. PWInsider has reported that Daniel Bryan has flown to Europe and will now be part of WWE’s ongoing European tour. The former WWE Champion is also now expected to be featured on this week’s United Kingdom edition of SmackDown.
Among the 32 talented women who took part in the Mae Young Classic tournament this year was former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. Rayne lost in the first round of the tournament, and while some were hoping to see Rayne stick around in WWE, she ultimately ended up joining Ring of Honor instead. While speaking with CBS Local Pittsburgh earlier this week, Rayne talked about her reasons for not signing with WWE. Rayne cited that one major reason for not joining WWE was the fact that all Performance Center recruits have to report to Orlando, Florida, meaning that she would have to move away from her Columbus, Ohio home. As a result, Rayne has decided to continue working for other promotions for the time being.
“While wrestling is still very, very important to me, being a mother and
being a wife, those two things are greatly more important. There was
never that definitive conversation, but just given the fact that I knew
and I never wanted there to be any gray area in my communication with
WWE, and I made it clear that I could and would not be willing to
relocate, I think that probably kind of settled the question there as
far as whether or not a contract with WWE was going to be in my future.” Rayne said.
