According to Mundo Deportivo, a selection of French/Ligue 1 players are part of the initial 59 nominees for the Ballon D’Or.
The Spanish publication claims to have got access to the pre-list, which includes Javier Pastore, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani of PSG. Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette is also on the list, alongside former Marseille attacking midfielder Andre Ayew.
Paul Pogba of Juventus, Karim Benzema of Real Madrid and Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid all also make the list.
