Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas has confirmed that a deal in principle has been reached with Manchester United for Dutch winger Memphis Depay, speaking to our colleagues at L’Équipe.
“At the beginning of this afternoon I reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United, the finer details still need to be sorted out but at a more expensive base than is currently being circulated.”
In France, the fee reported is €18.5m, but a total of €6.5m in possible bonuses will in fact be included, not as part of that original figure, according to our reporting.
