Shane McMahon Announces John Cena as Final Member of Team Smackdown

WWE has today announced the fifth and final member of Team SmackDown for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series PPV, and it is a huge return for a major superstar.

John Cena has been revealed as the final member of the blue brands five-man team, and will join Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and team captain Shane McMahon.

Cena was rumored to be taking part in WWE Survivor Series as the guest referee for Jinder Mahal vs Brock Lesnar. However, following last night’s SmackDown Live and the crowning of AJ Styles as WWE Champion, it appears WWE has chosen to go a different direction. Instead, Cena will return to action for the first time since his loss to Roman Reigns, and will be representing team blue despite the fact he is currently a “free agent”
