As a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, The Miz has seen his share of disappointing seasons on the gridiron. So, when news broke hours after an unexpected 20-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field that the Green Bay Packers fired coach Mike McCarthy, The Miz didn’t take long to tweet criticism of the move. Here’s the tweet from the WWE SmackDown Superstar:

Mike McCarthy fired. @packers ur kidding right? You have no idea what you have.

McCarthy went 125-77-2 in 13 seasons at the helm of the Packers. He also went 18-10 in the postseason and led Green Bay to a Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. At 4-7-1 this season, Green Bay appears headed for its worst finish since McCarthy’s 2008 team finished 6-10 in Rodgers’ first year as starter. Ten years later (and coming off a 7-9 campaign largely chalked up to the absence of Rodgers), a similar finish wouldn’t be acceptable for the franchise.
