Surely it was a strategic move that Tom Ford chose to show his autumn
winter 2015 collection in Los Angeles just before the Oscar’s.
With 50 percent of his guests hailing from the entertainment industry, the
publicity of potential attendees wearing his collection is stratospheric.
The clothes this season had the usual Ford flamboyance, with patchwork,
fur, denim and leopard print in high doses. But somehow it was less
seductress, less glitz and more approachable.
There was something of the prairie with all that patchwork, fringing and
knotted necklaces, though the high heeled boots and sumptuous fur kept the
glamour firmly in place.
With a catwalk strewn with rose petals Ford commented, it never snows in
Los Angeles, so let’s make it snow with roses.
