— As noted earlier this week, reader Derek Greser sent a letter talking about his friend being escorted out of the building by arena security at Sunday’s Armageddon pay-per-view because he made a hand gesture to Batista while he was making his entrance for his match with Randy Orton. It got a lot of attention online, so much so that WWE was aware of it too when Greser contacted their Fan Relations department on Wednesday afternoon. In an update on the situation, he could not go into details, but WWE has addressed the issue and made things right for them. Here is Greser’s letter:

Daniel,

I just got off the phone with Fan Relations at WWE. They were aware of the article I sent you yesterday and were glad I called. They knew who I was by name, I didn’t need to explain anything. I cannot go into details, but I can tell you that WWE has addressed the issue, and they have made it right.

I am giving you this news exclusively, as you were the only person who e-mailed me back. I originally sent the article to The Wrestling Observer, PWinsider, Pwtorch, and of course Rajah. After you posted the story, it blew up. It spread to at least 40 wrestling new sites and forums, including the one at fans.wwe.com. Fans were e-mailing WWE in large numbers about Tom’s story.

I would like to personally extend my thanks to you Daniel, and the entire Rajah staff for stepping up to the plate, and being the first site to post my article. I would also like to thank the members of the Internet Wrestling Community. Amazing things happen when people speak out, and stick together. A special thanks also goes out to the Fan Relations department of WWE.

Please feel free to copy and paste this letter on your site if you would like.

Sincerely,

Derek Greser
