Virginia Tech became the second ACC team to appear in the top 10 of USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.

Two weekend wins pushed the Hokies (3-0) into the top 10, one spot behind ACC rival Virginia, which moved up one spot to No. 9 this week. Both the Hokies and the Cavaliers (5-0) picked up weekend wins over Gardner-Webb and then-No. 23 North Dakota State.

The top seven teams remained unchanged as Iowa, Minnesota, Cornell, Ohio State, Penn State, Missouri and Nebraska stayed put. Minnesota (2-0) opened up with road wins at Air Force and then-No. 25 Wyoming. Nebraska (2-0) beat Maryland 42-3 in the Huskers’ only action of the weekend. Oklahoma State started 2-0 beating defending NJCAA champion Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and South Dakota State.

The biggest drop this week came as Michigan (1-1) fell to then-No. 14 Edinboro at the Eastern Michigan Duals. The loss dropped the Wolverines from No. 8 to No. 15. Lehigh (2-1) moved up to No. 11 after a weekend win over then-No. 11 Pittsburgh (3-1).

There was minimal movement in the bottom half of the poll, but Chattanooga debuted at No. 23 after going 3-0 at the Eastern Michigan Duals. Wyoming (0-2) dropped out of the Top 25. Chattanooga is the lone team from the Southern Conference represented in the poll.

North Dakota State, the lone representative from the Western Wrestling Conference, slip two spots down to No. 25.

The USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll is a dual meet ranking.
