As advertised, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan returned to Monday Night Raw this week in Orlando, FL to pay tribute to one of his best friends — the late, great “Mean” Gene Okerlund, who passed away last week at the age of 76.
While Hogan’s return was certainly seen as controversial by quite a large percentage of the WWE Universe, who were shockingly quiet for the Hulkster’s return to television, WWE wisely kept his promo time simple.
After rolling a brilliant tribute package that caused several tears (and at times, rolling laughter) Hulk said a few words honoring his long-time friend, and cut one last signature “Let Me Tell Ya Something, Mean Gene” promos for all of pro wrestling’s angels in heaven.
