Some fans never thought that Goldberg would ever return to WWE, let alone win the world championship and appear at WrestleMania again. Despite the skepticism, Goldberg did return and accomplish all of those tasks earlier this year. Goldberg lost the Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 before giving his farewell speech on Raw the next night. That may not be the last we have seen of Goldberg though, because Will McCormick of Inquistir reports that WWE has contacted Goldberg to make an appearance on Raw’s 25th anniversary show. Though Goldberg’s appearance has not been announced, the company has reportedly been in the process of getting some huge names for the January show as of late.
The Miz and Becky Lynch are arguably two of the hardest-working members of the WWE roster at the moment. The Miz was written off of television to film The Marine 6 recently when he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns. Lynch, who co-stars in the upcoming film, was also taken off of television after The Riott Squad attacked her backstage on Smackdown recently. As far as a possible return to the ring for these two superstars, filming is expected to wrap up either late 2017 or early 2018. Cageside Seats reports that both The Miz and Becky Lynch will likely be back in WWE again by January 2018.
Despite being one of the most charismatic superstars of the last decade, some have criticized John Cena’s personality outside of the ring. Sure, he can be excited or even bland at times, but has he ever been known to get emotional? During an interview on Good Morning Britain, hosts Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid played the footage of Cena proposing to Nikki Bella at Wrestlemania 33, which caused Cena to tear up a bit. Cena told the hosts that it was the single greatest moment of his life, and he also informed the audience the following: “I was extremely nervous, because the audience controls the program, and this was a match with 75,000 people. You get to the point where you think ‘man this is a good idea’, but then you’re like ‘what if they say no.” Check out the full interview here.
