Coming off a second straight week of strong ratings for Raw with the return of Roman Reigns, SmackDown numbers were stagnant on Tuesday night, averaging 2.155 million viewers — essentially the same number as last week.
SmackDown retained a lower-than-usual 77 percent of Raw’s audience, and considering the fact that Reigns is only appearing on Raw, it’s further evidence that Reigns’ return is the reason for the relatively strong numbers for that show the last couple of weeks.
SmackDown finished 10th for the night in terms of total viewers on cable and fell to third in the 18-49 demo with a 0.70 rating, trailing a Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors NBA game and Curse of Oak Island.
Year-over-year, SmackDown was down 17 percent, right around the 19 percent year-over-year decline that SmackDown is averaging so far in 2019. As a comparison, Raw numbers are down less than 10 percent year-over-year the last few weeks.
