WWE has announced two huge main events for their return to the world famous Madison Square Garden on December 26th, the day after Christmas. The show will feature the superstars of the Smackdown Live brand, headlined by AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe, and Daniel Bryan taking on The Miz.

As always, the card is subject to change. This set of matches is particularly interesting because it would require Styles to retain the title for the next five months, but more importantly because Bryan’s current contract with the company expires at the beginning of September. While it’s likely he will resign a deal with WWE, and Bryan himself recently stated that he would prefer to stay with the company in a scaled-down role going forward, the two have yet to come to an agreement at this time.
